Parts of the graphic shoe
(A) General foot and shoe terms
Arch - arch. The soles of the feet do not touch the ground. It is exactly the arched cheekbones.
Bespoke - custom. This is a term that is often used in industries such as fashion or automotive manufacturing. A pair of custom sneakers are usually sneakers that are made for someone with precise detail measurements.
Dorsum - instep.
Dorsiflex - instep curve.
Insole - inner bottom. Lightweight sole that matches the shape of the bottom of the shoe sole.
Lateral - side. The side of the foot.
Medial - middle. The inner part of the foot.
Midsole - midsole mezzanine. The layer or material between the outsole and the insole. In the midsole layer of non-sports shoes, leather or rubber material is generally used, while the midsole layer of modern sports shoes is mostly made of high density foam rubber material similar to EVA technology.
Plantar - the sole of the feet.
Plantar fasciitis - inflammation of the soles of the feet.
Plantar flex - bending of the sole.
Toe spring - frontal curvature. When the shoe is placed on a horizontal surface, the upward curvature or angle of the foremost section of the shoe relative to the horizontal plane.
ThermoPlastic Urethane (TPU) - thermoelectric plastic polyurethane rubber. A plastic material that can be repeatedly softened or changed at a certain heat, but it can maintain its shape at room temperature.
Upper - uppers. Sneakers cover the surface of the foot. In the past, shoe uppers were usually made of leather or fabric, and now higher-tech synthetic fabrics and materials have been widely used in shoe upper manufacturing processes.
(B) shoe related terms
Counter - followed by the upper. It can often be seen on the heel of a basketball shoe, providing additional support for the foot's roots. It is usually hidden between the sneaker lining and the exterior material, but some heels of the sneakers are designed on the outside.
Dynamic-fit sleeve - Dynamic-fit shoe cover. Nike's in-shoe technology, this seamless synthetic synthetic elastic shoe cover wraps the foot completely and provides better comfort and support.
Foamposite - Nike's shoe upper technology, which is made of a polyurethane-based material.
Full-grain leather - full grain leather. Full-grain leather is the most durable leather.
Lycra - Lycra (synthetic elastic fiber). This is a trademark of an elastic textile fiber consisting mainly of polyurethane. The professional name of this material is spandex. Lycra is often used in Nike's Dynamic-fit shoe cover design.
Monkey paw - monkey's paw. Nike Technology, which is based on a thermoelectric plastic urethane rubber material, is usually included between the boot and the exterior material, and provides additional ankle protection measures that prevent the ankle from twisting excessively to the inside.
Neoprene - neoprene. Synthetic rubber produced from the polymerization of chloroprene rubber is widely used in weather-resistant products, viscose soles, coatings and rocket fuels.
Mubuck - nubuck. Good air permeability, support and abrasion resistance.
Patent leather - patent leather. Shiny leather material.
Suede - suede. Flocked leather.
Gore-fex - Nike's shoe upper technology. Has good waterproof performance, usually used for outdoor shoes or outdoor jogging shoes.
(3) Related terms in midsole and outsole
adiPRENE - adidas damping technology. adiPRENE is an elastic material designed to provide the cushioning needs of the wearer when walking. It is usually used in the heel portion of shoes.
adiPRENE+a——Didas' damping technology. AdiPRENE+ is similar to adiPRENE, except that adiPRENE+ is more flexible and is generally designed to provide better forefoot power.
Air - air cushion. Nike's shock absorption technology is now used in many different types of shoes. Air technology was invented by Marion Frank Rudy in 1984. Its technical principle is to compress pressurized gas into the “bag†made of polyurethane material, and the volume of these gas molecules is too large to make them pass through the poly. The polyurethane insulation layer. In 1997, Nike ended its monopoly on Air, allowing competitors to produce shoes based on Air cushion technology, which is why we can now see more different brands of air-cushioned shoes on the market.
Air, Encapsulated - compressed air cushion. The air cushion is compressed into the midsole of the shoe and is not visible from the outsole.
Air, Max - high-pressure, special gas in a tough synthetic rubber, air cushion pressure is composed of 5psi.10psi.20psi.25psi pressure chamber, and more shock absorption performance . And the shoes based on Max Air technology are usually less used in the midsole sandwich material based on foam rubber shock absorption, so it can properly reduce the weight of shoes. Max Air is usually visible and is commonly used in the forefoot and heel sections of shoes.
Air, Total - full foot air cushion. It is an upgraded version of Max Air. It consists of several different pounds of air cushions. It provides the athlete with safer, more comfortable protection and shock-absorbing effects for the required number of air-cushion pounds for each part.
Air, Tuned—Evolved by Max Air, consists of multiple sets of hemispheres based on polyurethane material that are placed opposite each other to provide additional shock absorption in specific areas of the sneaker.
Air, Zoom - An advanced damping system based on Nike Air technology that provides a quick response buffer that is closer to the ground. The Zoom Air-sole unit consists of two layers of high-density nylon elastic fabrics sealed with a polyurethane airbag. This combination allows the air cushion to quickly react when the air cushion is subjected to a strong impact, quickly dispersing the pressure, and this effect is somewhat similar to a trampoline. Most of Zoom Air is often placed in the forefoot of basketball shoes, but there are also a few times used in the heel section.
DMX - Reebok's damping technology, a technology that combines air cushion damping technology with a gas flow system. The mobility of gas in the air cushion is achieved by several interconnected air chambers. When the impact force is applied, the gas will quickly flow from the compressed air chamber to other air chambers, and then quickly return to achieve the purpose of buffering.
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) - vinyl acetate. Lightweight and elastic chemical synthetic material. Most manufacturers use EVA materials in the midsole sandwich manufacturing of shoes.
Flex grooves - curved grooves. Located in the forefoot to improve the curvature of the forefoot.
Herringbone - herringbone pattern. The texture of the zigzag pattern used on the outsole of the athletic shoe provides good grip performance.
Harmonix - And 1's damping technology, the principle is to use low pressure gas to fill the balloon wrapped around the polyurethane skeleton. It is used with And 1's Springz geometry technology to provide a higher level of heel impact protection.
Outsole - The outermost sole that touches the ground.
Phylon - Lightweight and resilient buffer mix made from heat-compressed EVA foam rubber. Phylon is Nike's unique patented technology, usually used in the midsole of the forefoot, but it is sometimes used in the entire midsole.
Polyurethane (PU) - Polyurethane. A foam rubber based, high density, durable material that is often used in the midsole midsole.
Springz Geometry - a dome-shaped midsole sandwich that is used in the heel to absorb impact with the Andmon's Harmonix cushioning system. When there is downward force, it will force the dome to deform and absorb the impact force. When the downward force disappears, it can quickly return to its original shape.
Shank - shoe core gasket. The rigid strips are usually inserted between the outer sole and the inner sole of the palm portion with carbon fiber, thermoelectric plastic urethane rubber, and wood-fired smooth leather. The function of the core cushion of the basketball shoe is to provide additional middle palm support and keep the forefoot and the back of the palm consistent.
SHOX - Nike's shock absorption technology, a cylindrical special motion component made of high-density polyurethane foam rubber. In the application of basketball shoes, its special design structure can provide excellent stability and a high level of impact protection.
TORSION - torsion system. Adidas's stability technology, its design concept is to provide support in the palm, while promoting natural and smooth rotation between the palm.

Sample Sample shoe—refers to the shoe section of a proposed program that has been manufactured for use as a reference for decision making and only produces up to forty pairs of shoes. That is, the shoes that are manufactured for reference for decision-making use uniform sizes of 9 yards for men and 7 yards for women. They are used only within the company and only produce 40 pairs at most. Therefore, in a sense, they are limited. And most of them are hand-made, and some of them are not on the market, or are "wrong versions", so these have a very high value when they enter the market! In addition, Sample also represents the shoes that are specially made for the players. There will be special marks on behalf of this player.
