The generation and characteristics of domestic fireproof glass

[China Glass Network] The popularity and characteristics of China's fire-resistant glass under the popular science, the total number of fire-resistant glass forests, and the evolution and improvement under the aura of science and technology, their characteristics and differences are not easy to distinguish, I hope this article can answer questions for friends!

Throughout the development process of fireproof glass in the world and in China, the development of fireproof glass can be divided into the following four generations.

By the previous generation: the drying method of water glass, an alcohol organic modifier and an inorganic curing agent are added to the water glass, and the water is removed under the condition of constant temperature and humidity, and then compounded.

Disadvantages: The glass can not be tempered (only one piece of glass can be tempered), which is easy to break during the installation process, and is easy to produce small bubbles of the size of the tip. The long-term use of the edge tends to lose moisture and whiten, and the inner piece of glass appears slippery and misplaced. This process was successfully developed by Pilkington and Chengdu Fire Research Institute earlier, and now there are few domestic manufacturers.

The second generation: acrylamide fire-resistant glass, developed by Tianjin Fire Research Institute in the 1990s, is a mixed solution of magnesium chloride, potassium aluminum sulfate dodecahydrate, acrylamide, chemical additives, etc. between two or more glasses. It is condensed into a composite fireproof glass with soft fireproof glue. Most of the composite fireproof glass in China is produced by this process, and there is basically no such process in foreign countries.

Disadvantages: poor aging resistance (generally one year warranty, yellowing, liquid leakage, foaming, etc. after three or four years), can not be used in direct sunlight.

The third generation: single piece fireproof glass, divided into single piece of strontium potassium fireproof glass, high borosilicate fireproof glass (also microcrystalline glass, high alumina glass, few production plants).

a. Monolithic bismuth potassium fireproof glass is a fireproof glass with Chinese characteristics. It is produced by no one abroad. It mainly uses physical and chemical methods to produce strong (extreme) surface compressive stress on the glass surface and has fireproof performance, but it is used for three years. After that, the surface of the glass is nearly one-third of the surface stress relaxation due to temperature cycling, and the fireproof performance is lost. In addition, during the use, the surface is slightly scratched, the edge is damaged, the internal nickel sulfide is generated, and the laminated glass is made. Also, some of the glass loses its fire resistance, and it is recommended to control the scope of use. Moreover, the fire resistance of this glass is only 60, 90 minutes. If someone tells you 2 hours or 3 hours, it is just nonsense.

b. High borosilicate fireproof glass: It is an excellent single piece fireproof glass because of its extremely low expansion coefficient and high softening temperature. If it is processed well, the fireproof time can reach 2 hours, 3 hours, and the processing is not good. It will only be 1 hour or less, and its stability is much better than that of a single piece. Foreign single-piece fireproof glass is mainly used in this category. It is produced by Schott, Germany. It has been developed and produced by domestic glass factories, but the output is low. Small bubbles are basically not used as fireproof glass in China, and it is recommended that they can be developed in large quantities.

The fourth generation: the fire-resistant glass produced by castinplace using the strong film-forming property of special silica. It is mainly developed and produced by Vetrotech in Germany. It has been used for nearly 30 years and has been started in China in recent years. R&D and introduction of this technology, silicon composite fire-resistant glass such as crystal silicon is produced by this method.

Advantages: Mainly used inorganic materials, fire performance and appearance quality is very stable, with excellent aging resistance. This glass is generally guaranteed for 5 years in the world. Users generally use it for 10 years without any problem. Both inner and outer glass can be used. Tempered, not easy to break during use, can be used in exterior wall decoration such as curtain wall (when used in exterior wall, it is customary to add hollow in Hong Kong and Europe), in addition to fireproof performance, it also has heat radiation prevention, fireproof and heat insulation. Sex.

Disadvantages: heavy cost, high price, the price may be ten times the price of traditional fireproof glass or even higher, the general project is more difficult to bear, unless the owner has sufficient knowledge of fire safety, and also considers that its life is longer than ordinary fireproof glass. It does not need to be replaced once every 3 to 4 years. In order to improve safety, stability and save the later cost, people who realize its value are willing to use it. This is the high-end fireproof glass, which can reach 1500mmx4200mm in one piece. Large-scale engineering case.
